Petra University USA was founded in 2020 in California, USA, with the goal of ‘orthodox conservative theology and world mission theology’ based on the verse, “The truth will set you free” (John 8:32), by Dr. Jeong-ho Kim and individual leaders who share the same vision. Petra University USA is currently comprised of a faculty with both ability and reputation, and is a semester-based school that aims for day and night lectures. It is experiencing continuous growth and was recognized as a religious exemption school California Department of Education code 94874(e) in 2021.

     Petra University USA is located near LA downtown, Southern California, only 25 minutes away from LAX, is accessible by convenient public transportations, and is equipped with the campus of a very good academic atmosphere. It also has a comfortable library that holds thousands of good books necessary in the advancement of learning for the students, and also a comfortable dorm. Santa Monica Beach is only 20 minutes away to the west from the campusand Hollywood 10 minutes away to the north.

Especially, our university pursues the balanced theology of intellect, character, and spirituality. The purpose of our theological seminary is to train leaders equipped with character, intellect, and spirituality by improving the intellect through theology, enhancing leadership with the spirituality through the Scriptures and prayer training, and cultivating the character through various liberal arts classes.
